College Football

Football has come to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  The first season has been awesome!  Way to go Forty Niners!!

The Pool is Open




One of my favorite days of the year is when the gates of our swim club open and once again the pool is open.  The lifeguards climb up in their chairs, one of them blows their whistle and summer officially starts.

The pool is open and inviting all who care to enter, to jump in and have some fun.

I hope to see you in the water!

Royal Tea Party

With the Royal Wedding of William and Kate just three days away, it has put me in the mood to have at Tea Party. Here are some menu items you could try if you want to have Tea too!

Cucumber Tea Sandwiches
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries ( try white, dark and milk chocolate)
Pound Cake with warm orange marmalade and whipped cream

Brew a pot of water and set out a variety of teas.
Two of my favorites are Raspberry and Orange Zinger

Use your prettiest tea cups and enjoy!

When we were in school, probably most of us took some kind of art class. We all have it within us to do some kind of art. We may not be Picasso but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy painting, drawing or working with clay.

February has arrived and with it comes thoughts of love and the approaching date of Valentine's Day. This year Valentine's Day has a special significance for me because my daughter is now officially engaged! Yes, love is in the air and a June wedding is being planned.
